The 2014 Jacksonville Jazz Festival starts this weekend!

Memorial Day is a huge weekend for jazz festivals. I count no fewer than 5 scattered across the country, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Austin, San Diego & Birmingham that I know of, but we will be in Jacksonville, which is the big one this weekend in Florida. While we have been in Florida for 2 1/2 years this is our 5 year attending the Jacksonville Jazz Festival.

The performances start Friday evening on all three stages running through Sunday night. The stage configuration has been revamped this year with all three stages on or near the river. I will let you know how that works out.





The lineup this year is interesting with some of the usual headliners like Boney James, Al Jarreau, Average White Band, Marion Meadows & Paul Taylor, Marcus Johnson, Tizer, Delfeayo Marsalis, Kim Waters, Phil Perry and Maysa.
